​After many years of experience as a producer of documentaries and feature films at the renowned Hamburg-based production company C-Films (Deutschland) GmbH, Sandra Müller founded Marlene Film GmbH & Co. KG in the summer of 2019.​

Marlene Film is passionately committed to women-centered and diversity-focused content. As one of the few production companies in Hamburg led by a young female producer, Marlene Film sees it as its mission to promote social justice by addressing discrimination, oppression, and implicit biases. Our goal is to connect with producers, writers, and directors worldwide, supporting each other in turning creative visions into reality.

What we create as filmmakers shapes the culture and, in turn, the reality in which we live. We aim to produce films that entertain, move, and inspire reflection—films that help all of us become a little more conscious and active. Naturally, this also includes living up to our responsibility as fair and honest producers / co-producers.
